The Conference in Honor of Jiří Dienstbier

The Institute of International Relations, in cooperation with The Czech Council on Foreign Relations and The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, would like to cordially invite you to the conference on Czech foreign policy before and after the Velvet Revolution. The conference will be held in honor of Jiří Dienstbier, who would celebrate his 80th birthday on the 20th of April 2017 if he was still alive. The conference will be held on May 11, 2017 from 14:00 in The Czernin Palace at The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Loretánské náměstí 101/5, Praha 1.

Conference consists of 2 panels.

 

The main topic of the 1st panel „Dreaming about Europe" will be the dissident foreign policy. The 2nd panel „A Way from Dreaming Towards Reality" will focus on the foreign policy after November ´89. At the end, the book „Jiří Dienstbier ve vzpomínkách" will be presented.
