Ruth Ferrero-Turrion is Adjunct Associate Professor of European Studies and Comparative Politics at Universidad Complutense and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She is Co-director of GEurasia.eu and Senior Research Associate at Complutense Institute of International Studies (ICEI) where Chairs the UCM Diplomas "Migrations and International Relations", "Migration and Asylum EU Policy" and "Balkans New Scenaries".
She has been Research Fellow at Columbia University, London School of Economics and Political Science, the Babes-Bolyai University (Romania), the Hungarian Institute of International Relations, and the Open Society Foundation-Sofia. Her main areas of research are linked with Migration and Asylum EU Policies and Neighborhood European Policy. She collaborates regularly with think tanks and foreign affairs publications such as Real Instituto Elcano, Esglobal, Friedrich Ebert Foundation or Migration Policy Institute among others. Since 1996, she has also been an International Observer in several countries of Eastern and South-Eastern Europe (FYROM, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Albania, Ukraine, Russia, Armenia).
